ScrollFree

Social media and endless scrolling
ScrollFree, the program for social media use, is proposed. Nothing is available to use. It would start from what a person says about their own use, before asking for any screen-time permission.
What it would cover
What we would build here.
Scope, not an offer. None of this exists yet, and nothing on this page is a service you can use today.
Self-report first
Starting from what a person tells it about their own use and triggers, with screen-time access optional rather than required.
Minute goals and app-free windows
A daily minute goal and app-free windows the person chooses, set at a level that feels doable.
Pause 60
A 60-second pause for the moment the urge to scroll hits, with the shared Rescue one tap away.
Buddy and weekly reflection
An optional accountability buddy, and a weekly reflection on how the week went, without judgment after a long scroll.
Unplug
Optional app limits and focus sessions that the person chooses to set up and can turn off.
Coming up
What happens next here.
Ordered by how near the work is, not by date. We do not publish dates for work that has not started.
Decision on the proposal
NextScrollFree is a proposal. Whether and when it is built has not been decided.
Permissions review
LaterReviewing exactly what screen-time and usage access would let ScrollFree see, and keeping self-report as the starting point.
Shared Rescue and supporters
LaterReusing the shared Rescue and supporter components from the other programs rather than building them again.
